Coconut supply has improved in Thailand during the past 6 months but the prices are still high. We had reported earlier that a killer beetle infestation had destroyed close to 40% of the coconut trees, thus forcing coconut processors to import coconuts from other countries like Indonesia and the Philippines. Coconut milk prices have remained firm and are expected to increase during the winter months when supply is lower than during the peak summer months (May-September). Desiccated coconut prices are also very firm but at least not increasing any longer and the supply has also improved.
